Hi.

If you do
Code:
uname -r
does it report 2.6.12-r5?

If not you have set the symlink flag and emerged a new kernel.
You have to change the symlink /usr/src/linux to point to your
running kernel that you build. Then it should find the config.

The nvidia search for /usr/src/linux and not the right way of
checking the running kernel by /lib/modules/2.6.12-gentoo-r5/build
that always point to the running kernel source.

Yep. Then we have to check that the config exist's and that
the mtrr is set in the config.

Look for the .config file in the /usr/src/linux , if it's there do
Code:
cat /usr/src/linux/.config |grep MTRR

It should return
Quote:

CONFIG_MTRR=y

Do you use genkernel or do you do manualy config?

Hi.

It is a hidden file.
Code:
ls -a /usr/src/linux
should show the file.

Ok.

Do
Code:
ls /proc
and se if you have a config.gz.

If you have one then copy this to /usr/src/linux and gunzip it.
rename it to .config.

Then you have the running config in the source directory.
[/code]
