Weird problem with gmplayer and firefox.

mplayer 1.0 pre6-r4
mozilla-firefox 1.0.5-r1

gmplayer launches into the GUI when executed through bash, however when launched via file association in Firefox, non-GUI mplayer is forced.
Config files are empty, and a simple ls -l /usr/bin/gmplayer returns:

Tried using MediaPlayerConnectivity 0.3.9 (Here: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/m ... fox&id=446) Firefox extension - same problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

Edit: It's worth mentioning that mplayer is forced immediately upon selecting gmplayer as the associated launcher. I can input /usr/bin/gmplayer all day, but the field reverts to /usr/bin/mplayer.

If you're saying that you type in gmplayer, and it changes it to mplayer, then presumably firefox is trying to be too clever, following the symlink and changing what you typed to it's destination

Maybe you could file a bug on firefox's bugzilla (or whatever they use)
