Hi,
Since I updated to the latest splashutils, my fbsplash screen has a geomtry problem :
when the background image is not loaded yet, everything's okay, but after that, it moves to the right, so that I can't see any longer the [ok] or [!!] in front of each message.
Is there a geomertry option I could add in my grub.conf order to correct that ?
Thanks.
PS : I'm using radeonfb since either vesafb or vesafb-tng doesn't work for my ati 9700 pro card (no background image, 640x480 only) |

I couldn't get radeonfb to work on my laptop (radeon 9000). My understanding is: vesafb-tng is your best bet.
If it doesn't work, your video card may need a bios update. Go to the card's manufacturer site and and see if there's a video bios update for it, that may fix vesafb-tng.
Basically, if the bios supports the vesa spec well, it should just work.
