Matchbox is a base environment for the X Window System running on non-desktop embedded platforms such as handhelds, set-top boxes, kiosks and anything else for which screen space, input mechanisms or system resources are limited.

So I present you the Gentoo Matchbox project!

This is great for slow computers like my old laptop :)
Why don't you upload the ebuilds to https://bugs.gentoo.org?

i seems to be fine for slow computers

If your target is a not so strong system won't it be more logical to use somthing less resource intensiv then Gnome. For instence Xfce.

Yes, the ebuilds are old...

But I sent an email to Gentoo recruiters today saying that I would like to become a maintainer for these ebuilds.
Hopefully they say yes :D
