On an Ultra5 with kernel 2.4.30 (Potage tree is up to March 27, 2005), emerge cryptsetup ends with the following error:
Code: | darwin root # emerge -b cryptsetup

cryptsetup is for 2.6-series kernels only basically.
If you're getting it for cdrtools (the only app i can remember atm that can pull it) you can just disable crypt for cdrtools.
Check the portage manpage (man 5 portage) for the package.use section, edit /etc/portage/package.use and add something like "app-cdr/cdrtools -crypt". _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

Thank you, Gustavo.
That was exactly the problem i had.
I added a line in /etc/portage/package.use :
app-cdr/cdrtools -crypt
and then re-emerged cdrtools with no errors.
