For years I've been sick of the fact that KDE didn't have a better pager that could be embedded into Kicker. I decided to fix it by making an applet that embeds kpager into kicker.
It's not completely polished (yet), but it already does the job better than the alternatives. (Of course I didn't realize there were any alternatives until 10 minutes ago, when I finally looked, but it seems that Kicker Pager doesn't resize correctly, and that KPager 2 doesn't build for me.)

You should have Aaron Siego take a look at this, he's the maintainer of Kicker. His blog is below, every now and then he posts about what he's adding to it.
