I might soon get the chance to buy some sparc hardware for my company to run linux on.
In evaluating all (both) options of vendors, im curious if anyone has tried out any of the fujitsu sparc systems?
specifically the primepower 250 ?
what about tatung? they still sell sparc?
any other vendors of note? _________________ -Tim Smith |

Not me. But I seem to remember seeing a post quite some time ago (a year perhaps) about somebody using it on a Tatung box. |

Sorry I can't supply much details in terms of model number etc., but a large hedge fund I used to work for was mostly a solaris shop, with most boxes from Fujitsu. It was preferred hardware over sun's own boxes. So I imagine you won't be any worse off using Fujitsu h/w. |
