When I installed gentoo on my pc I didn't know what sound card I had so I didn't compile in any drivers, or load any modules.
Well I just cracked open my box and I found a ISA sound card with a creative CT2502-SDQ model number on it. From was I can find about this chip online I think its a creative soundblaster 16.
So I did `make menuconfig` and went to Sound--> and looked for soundblaster 16, or something like it, however I don't see anything that fits.
These are the only creative choices
Creative SBLive! (Obviously not my chip)
Creative ENsoniq AudioPCI 97 (Mine is an ISA card)
What should i select?
Also, once I have the driver compiled into the kernel, what changes do I need to make my setting to enable it? |

I think what you are looking for is :
Code: | Sound --->
<*> Sound card support
<*> OSS sound modules
<*> 100% Sound Blaster compatibles (SB16/32/64, ESS, Jazz16) support |
Another way to get your soundcard to work is with ALSA.
