Greetings!
I was downloading the sparc-sources and I ran into a small trouble. I ran out of space. So, when I do a
mulo 15:11:14-> df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda4 473M 127M 322M 29% /
/dev/hda1 59M 7.8M 49M 14% /boot
/dev/hda5 3.0G 3.0G 0 100% /usr
/dev/hdb1 3.8G 290M 3.3G 8% /var
/dev/hdb4 10G 347M 9.2G 4% /home
none 125M 0 125M 0% /dev/shm
/usr has no space. Anything I can do to manage this until we get 2.6 ready for sparcs?
thanks,
josé |

clean out /usr/portage/distfiles or move distfiles over to /var/somewhere and link to that. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

You have more space under /home and wiping that out may be less critical than wiping out /var. Just move /usr/portage/distfiles to some other filesystem and /home and either link to it or in /etc/make.conf set DISTDIR to point to it:
Code: | DISTDIR=/home/distfiles |

Well, this will help. I went back to 79%. I have set the DISTDIR to a /home/distfiles directory.
Thanks guys! |
