|
|
I have been using Gentoo for some time, but I brought my computer to my school, and its time to sync my tree, and download some stuff. The school runs an active content monitoring proxy (HTTP) while its logged in all trafic is accepted, all the proxy does is scan it for viruses.
Is there anyway to make the portage tree connect through the ip 192.168.200.002:8002 so that I can emerge? any feed back is greatly appriciated. |

When I'm at school I have the following lines in my /etc/profile
(our proxy is wwwproxy.cs.aau.dk, and the port is 3128)
export http_proxy=wwwproxy.cs.aau.dk:3128
export ftp_proxy=wwwproxy.cs.aau.dk:3128
export proxy=wwwproxy.cs.aau.dk:3128
then I update the portage tree by running "emerge-webrsync", and other applications is emerged as usual. |
