|
|
i was wondering wether there is support for an ezonics web cam, (the entire name escapes me at the moment), i've got NO idea what chipset its got, and if there's a way to find out i'll do it, i used to have a Xirlink cam, worked fine but the lens broke (someone forced it to focus more than it could and snaped it in two ). |

Okay let me make modifications to my post...
I am having major problems now....
Okay first off, according to what I've read, I should be using the cpia dirvers (b/c my cam is listed as supported on their site, but not on any other sites).
Here's what I see when I plug the camera up (w/ or w/o the module loaded):
Code: | hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 5
usb.c: USB device 5 (vend/prod 0x572/0x1) is not claimed by any active driver. |
So, what does that mean? The USB driver sees something, but no driver says it supports it? I've tried a bunch of diff drivers, and none of them make a /dev/video(0), or /dev/v4l/...
What am I doing wrong? _________________ ServerMotion |

I tried some more drivers. Might it help if I got ahold of someone else's webcam and tried it?
