Sorry for the crappy subject. I'm a bad subject writer....
The story is this. I emerged the unstable nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx ebuilds to temporarily fix the memory leak problem.
Now when I run emerge -u world, both mplayer and sdl-perl wants to downgrade the nvidia ebuilds. Both depend on virtual/opengl
So I changed the virtual/opengl entry in /var/cache/edb/virtuals to
Code: |
virtual/opengl >=media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.4191 x11-base/xfree
|
Now emerge has a problem with the ~x86 keyword in the ebuilds. But I can't use ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" during emerge -u world. It just won't be good for my health.
What I want to know is: Is there a way to overcome this without "hacking" the KEYWORDS line in the ebuild itself. |

Use the --upgradeonly or -U option for emerge. |
