When I start wolf my screen goes black! I cant ctrl-c or ctrl-alt-backspace. I have to turn off my computer. This makes trying to fix this problem not fun.
Games that work fine: Quake(1, 2, and 3) tuxracer
System: Athlon 1 ghz, abit kt7 raid motherboard, 256 MB ram
ATI All-in-wonder Radeon 7500 using gatos
SBLive Platinum 5.1 using Alsa
Wolf Version 1.32
(if you have no idea, you might just mention how to start x with a terminal but no window manager 'cause that is my next planned experiment to lock up my computer)
Thanks |

hi,
I used wine to get the pak files off the retail Windows CD. I'm not using wine to play, though. I'm trying to use the linux binaries. |

weird, I get the exact same thing that happens, only I have an Nvidia GeForce 2 MX. What I did that fixed, well until I rebooted was emerge nvidia-glx , opengl-update nvidia. Of course when I rebooted I couldn't play those games, but glxgears(over 1000 fps) and gltron work just fine.. and tux racer does as well.. so I have no idea what to think. _________________ uname -srmp

This reads in at ATI's pages:
Quote: | ATI does not currently develop or distribute LINUX or XFree86 drivers. |
So maybe updating Xfree86 but if u have the newest ..... _________________ If it works don't mess with it |
