Good to hear and I don't plan any releases unless a security hole or bug pops up.

Well, I'd like to report that dark is now offically in "maintaince" mode for 2.6.11.X, which means unless otherwise stated, I will not be adding any new features or massive changes to dark until I see fit. Releases until I say that I'm done with maintaince mode will simply be fixes (bug/security). The next biggest release will likely be 2.6.12-rcX-dark1, which will be released after 2.6.12-rcX calms down (meaning, closer to a final release). _________________ System: predatorbox

Thank you for the patchset, all working well here. Just a quick question, are there any other tools than schedtool needed to take advantage of the scheduler? Especilla the CFQ with ionice, will they be set automatically with schedtooling (like schedtool -B), or are there any extra thingies needed?
Also, for some of the other patches included (like slabtuning, realtime-lsm), any specific place to adjust them or do they just work without any additional tinkering?
Thank you for a nice patchset! _________________ Gnome:

With the ionice patches that are included, using schedtool will automaticly define ionice values to SCHED_RR/ISO/BATCH tasks. Sorry for any slowness, I've been working alot today on a different project, I'm hoping that over the weekend I can wrap it up. _________________ System: predatorbox

Dang, I'm getting very borred since nothing major has been happening kernel related (I could throw together a new release containing the latest staircase test release, but I'd rather wait till it's finalised). _________________ System: predatorbox

Ok, new release coming sometime within this week. Main features will be sk98lin 8.16.2.3, which has improved support for network devices based off this chipset, the latest staircase updates (test1/2, these will be rolled up as staircase11-prerelease.patch) and a possibly a broken-out tarball with this release.
Edit: Maintaince mode off. _________________ System: predatorbox
