|
|
Hi guys,
I'm currently trying to install Gentoo on a Sun Ultra5 but compiling failed during the bootstrap process. I've already searched the forums for a solution but I couldn't find one. This is the error message:
Code: | checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details. |
I've uploaded the complete error log here.
Hope someone can help me

This has happened to me when switching from gcc-3.4.x to 3.3.x without changing my CFLAGS. I have a pentium-m, so having -march=pentium-m in my CFLAGS using gcc-3.3.x will cause an error because that version does not support those optimizations. This is the only time I have seen that error. Maybe you could change your CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS around? It's the only thing I can think of at the moment. |
