This what I get whenever I try to play a DVD/DVD file:

ogle assumes you have a link to your dvd drive.. so, if your dvd drive is /dev/hdc you'd need to

ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd


let me know if that gets you up and running.

Ok now it gets a little further, but it expects ALSA to be installed, when it isn't. How do I change the default ogle audio plug in?

In your make files add -alsa and re emerge ogle, should no work with kernel sound or OSS
