in xmms the alsa-xmms options dialog sees no audio devices, though alsa works elsewhere.
this is after only a reboot, with 55 days uptime, 40 days logged in, so something couldve gone wrong LONG ago.
quite frustrating.

works the same for root and group=audio users.
in xmms the ONLY output plugin is alsa, though i seem to remember more in the past (oss,esd)
i am in an emlightenment session, though gnome and kde are installed.
