first time installing gentoo, i am also a newbie, heres where i got to and error appear:(, please someone help me. I'll search for posts after I post my post.

This is for x86 hardware. I don't know if this is coming from a bad ebuild or your make.conf. _________________ Gentoo systems.

The same version of Portage compiled ok on my Ultra 5.
Can you post your make.conf so we can have a look? |

here is my make.conf, how do i copy text from installation, and post it here?

i reinstall it with different partition i have root to be ext2 and others ext3. will this work ok? |

The CFLAGS etc look fine.
Did you uncomment any of the advanced features in make.conf like sandbox?
Ext2 and Ext3 should be fine for filesystems but I cant think of a good reason to have root Ext3 and the rest Ext2
Ext3 would be fine for all. |

i just have those lines in make.conf file. can i change ext2 to ext3 with out any data lost? |
