Please don't bump threads. If you want it to get to the top of the forum listing then post something on topic. See my sig for a link to the guidelines.

Thanks lightvhawk0

... ?

The guidelines don't prohibit bumping, if I read them correctly ( I'm probably wrong, though  ) ... They do prohibit "senseless" posts - put bumps aren't really senseless per se.

Well, the official "unofficial" stance on bumping is "Don't do it unless it's a support question and no one has answered you in 24 hours". This thread is not a support question so bumping is strictly not allowed. I know that isn't in the guidelines but it falls under the common sense thing.

That is a total riot. What was he trying to do? Optimize all C code in into one line of assembly?

-funroll-loops unrolls loops whose number of iterations can be determined at compile time or upon entry to the loop. -funroll-loops implies both -fstrength-reduce and -frerun-cse-after-loop. This option makes code larger, and may or may not make it run faster so its a load of crap really.

Slightly off topic but Ubuntu bug #1 is pretty good and applies to all Linux distributions.

I don't know. There is a place for everything in the world - and in my opinion, Windows is crap, and sould get flushed, but belive me, out there people like very well known annoyances, and don't want to exchange that for new annoyances. Everithing has annoyances, is up to you to choose which you want.
