I would like to see an EBuild for XLogical
http://changeling.ixionstudios.com/xlogical/
I know that there are other logical clones in portage, but I would like this one. A few months ago I downloaded it and tried to compile it, but failed. I did not do any research in how big this bug is.
The game was part of the SuSE 7.2 distribution and I had difficulties to convince my mother switching to Gentoo when the support for SuSE 7.2 ended because of it not being in portage...

gccg
http://gccg.sourceforge.net/

An engine for online play of various collectible card games.

I'd like to be able to work on getting it into portage myself, but lack any idea of how to do so, or even where to start learning how to learn how to. So the timescale for me doing it myself is too many years.

Edit:
i hadn't looked at gccg for over a year. i seem to have some sort of odd bug where left-click doesn't work for many things. i have no idea whether others have the same problem.

Edit:
Problem above was fixed in quickly.

I would like to see one for Creatures Docking Station. http://www.gamewaredevelopment.co.uk/ds/ds_index.php

It seems to be a very overlooked linux game. Its kind of intended as a demo for creatures 3 but its an entire free game by itself. It also locks onto creatures 3 as an addon area if you have it, I believe its included in creatures 3 internet eddition.

The basic idea behind creatures is to look after, train the creatures and teach them to speek but its very complex including thinks like genetics, brain waves, chemestry to determin your creatures health and behavior.

Screenshots:
http://static.4players.de/premium/Screenshots/c2/f8/7489-vollbild.jpg
http://static.4players.de/premium/Screenshots/97/c9/7488-medium.jpg
http://static.4players.de/premium/Screenshots/26/39/7487-vollbild.jpg
http://static.4players.de/premium/Screenshots/30/54/7486-vollbild.jpg

EDIT: Unfortunatly after posting all that it seems the company that made docking station went bankruped and the servers needed to play are nolonger around, probally still possible to get creatures 3 running using docking station though, there might also be a unofficial loginless way to run it. :(

EDIT: http://creatures.cmainframe.com/Downloads/disablelogin.zip for the logindisabler :)

EDIT: Actually it seems that the company was brought out and the server intheory should work but just happen to be down currently, the update server is down however so you need to start ds with
Code:
dockingstation nocheck

If you do decide to apply the disablelogin, rename MNBdontlogin.c16 to mnbdontlogin.c16 and put it into /usr/local/games/dockingstation/Images
The zzz_gamestart_login.cos goes into "/usr/local/games/dockingstation/Bootstrap/010 Docking Station"

Test it, no idea if it works.

I have made some hacks to your ebuild to support 0.3 version but i get the following error:
Code:
root@localhost lxuser # USE="allegro" emerge guichan
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-libs/guichan-0.3.0 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) guichan-0.3.0-src.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking guichan-0.3.0-src.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/guichan-0.3.0/work
>>> Source unpacked.

!!! ERROR: media-libs/guichan-0.3.0 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 488, Exitcode 1
!!! no configure script found
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

Could you please fix this? the latest version of themanaworld are using it.

Nazcadreams
http://www.gp32spain.com/nazca/
It uses a strange interpreter called fenix, currently not in Portage, which i can't compile in my machine.

There's no much documentation, really.
With the source comes with a very little readme in english.
I think that the spanish portions in the game are very few and not an impediment for playing.

If you don't understand something send me a private with the quoted paragraph and i will translate it foe you.

I took the liberty and tried to make an ebuild for freeciv-2.0.0-rc1

all I really did was change the download dir to beta, and renamed the ebuild to freeciv-2.0.0_rc1.ebuild, it digested and installed fine

here's the ebuild

okay don't thrash me if you don't think this should be here. I was hoping to see a new ebuild for the OGRE game engine. The latest one in portage is 0.15 and they have since moved on to 1.01

Search in bugs.getoo.org, i'm sure there is an ebuild for 1.0.0. It hasn't been commited because there are some issues regarding libpng and some other stuff.

Can someone point me to an ebuild with a bunch of SDL dependencies? I haven't used gentoo games much, but I have some mods to this new game that I want to try out.

Great thread. Lots of good games listed here. I'll start working on ebuilds for them.

I recently submitted an ebuild for galaxyhack. It's in bugzilla, so please feel free to stick it in your portage overlay and let me know if it works.
