glibc is the package that contains libpthread. Hope that helps.
I am curious why you want glibc reemerged because of libpthread.... _________________ Shoot Pixels Not People

thanks, drakonite.
the reason are the following two error messages https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=36977&highlight= when trying to emerge mrproject and ksplash-lm respectively.
would you have any idea on how to solve my problem here? i'd really appreciate any help i could get!
regards,
thomas. |

I'm not sure what the problem is but you might want to check your optimizations.
Reinstalling libpthread probably won't help at all. _________________ Shoot Pixels Not People

thanks for your help. it really shouldn't be a problem of my optimizations though, since i'm using gentoo's default optimizations. |
