Hi, I've got a v250 and want to install gentoo on it...
I've already installed a graphics accelerator and set up my variables properly in openboot
| Code: | setenv output-device screen:r1024x768x60
setenv input-device keyboard |
Then I do:
And at the SILO boot prompt:
| Code: | boot: gentoo-2.4-smp
Loading inital ramdisk....
Remapping the kernel... done. |
Then, it hangs... what's that about? Heeeeeelpppp!!!!

I've had a simalar issue on a Sunfire 280R recently.
I used
| Code: | {0} ok setenv boot-device cdrom
{0} ok reset-all |
and then several reboots to get it all working, its seems a bit hit and miss... |

Nope, did a lot of reboots and it's still hanging on:

I don't really know... Is UltraSparc IIIi supported by gentoo?
