ok i have scsi emulation on my burner and cdrom, burner is hdc(sg0) and cdrom(sg1) is hdd.. now in xmms i can play a cd off of sg1 but not the burner sg0... why could this be? y the way, both cdroms have audio cord running to my sound card, burner goes to cdrom, and cdrom goes to aux

is the aux input muted on your sound card? (or whichever one the device which doesn't play is hooked into) |

xmms, by default will play from the device /dev/cdrom.
This can be changed by going into the "Preferences" section, clicking the AUDIO I/O plugins tab, then the CD AUDIO player. then configure.
You can then enter the device that you wish to play CD's from. Unfortunately i don't know (ok.. havnt researched) a way to play from both cdroms.
