I have mplayer installed and it works fine for mpegs (all I've tried so far), but when I try and play a VCD, it gives me this error:
Code: |
DEMUXER: Too many (3681 in 8388999 bytes) audio packets in the buffer!
|
and from CLI it says:
Code: |
DEMUXER: Too many (3681 in 8388999 bytes) audio packets in the buffer!
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For .AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.

Does anyone have any ideas on this one? I'm going to attempt Xine right now, and see how that works out, but I would like mplayer to work with VCDs aswell. |

Ah good man,I can get svcd's working with that command now as well.
And there was me emerging ogle to do it!
I learn something new every day.
Just one thing though-It plays a svcd disc fine but how do you get it to play a svcd file off the hard drive? |

Still does the exact same thing from CLI. I emerged xine and it works just fine, so I at least have something to play them, but it'd still be nice to get mplayer working propperly, I like it's UI a bit better. |

Every vcd or svcd I've tried has worked with either
Code: | mplayer -vcd 2 -cdrom-device /dev/hdc |
or
Code: | mplayer -vcd 1 -cdrom-device /dev/hdc |

It works with the first command, cool. But shouldn't it work propperly from the gui aswell? |
