Hi again.
Finally got my wireless card working, but when I try to download large files(fx gentoo package cd) after a few seconds, and then I have to bring wlan0 down and up again to use it.....why is it doing this??

Can you post your wifi card, chipset, iwconfig output, dmesg, and your kernel information?

dmesg : don't know how to fit all my dmesg in here :)



I have wireless (noharm) support in my kernel

Just paste the useful parts of dmesg.....dmesg | grep wlan0
Also look to see if your card is throwing out any errors in dmesg
