When doing a
Code:
#emerge -up --deep world

amongst others I get this result
Code:
[ebuild    U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1-r2 [3.1]
[ebuild    U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1-r1 [3.1]

seam to me Portage (2.0.46-r9) or something else are out of order?

BTW, when I earlier tried to update kde with the kdelibs-3.1-r1 and kdebase-3.1-r1 fixes it somehow removed everything I had on my desktop, including menu etc. So is it safe to get kdelibs-3.1-r2?

Hey,

I just upgraded kdelibs and kdebase and now my desktop is basically screwed up. When KDE starts it shows the 3.0 Logo and not 3.1 and this is just the beginning ... once KDE has started nothing works ... no icons, nothing but a useless taskbar. And i say useless because i cannot click on anything without getting an error.

So... if i were you , i wouldn't update ...

Hope this helps,

David

i have: kde-base/kdebase-3.1-r1 and kde-base/kdelibs-3.1-r2 installed ... i should have never done so !!
