Alle volte capita d'avere un unico file audio per un CD audio, ed un file .cue (che contiene le informazioni sulle varie tracce).
Questo file può essere wave, mp3, ogg, flac, ecc ecc ecc...
Problema: Se volessi avere un file per traccia? come fare?
Soluzione: La soluzione è utilizzare il comando toc2mp3 per dividere il file unico in tanti mp3 (Dovrebbe esserci il modo per creare file di altro tipo spero ;)).

Fase 1 - File wave
Innanzitutto si deve trasformare il file in wave se già non lo fosse. Ad esempio se si ha un unico file flac si userà il seguente comando :

$ flac -d file_da_decodificare.flac

Questo decodificherà il file flac in wave.
Se il file fosse .ogg si userà quest'altro comando :
Code:

$ oggdec file_da_decodificare.ogg

E così via (Insomma dovete ottenere un file wave)

Fase 2 - File TOC
Il comando per separare il file in tanti mp3, si chiama toc2mp3, quindi si può intuire che pretenderà un file TOC...ma noi abbiamo un file .cue!!
Vabbè, poco male :

$ cue2toc file.cue -o file.toc

Adesso abbiamo il file .toc con la separazione in tracce. Anche il file .cue ha lo stesso significato ma il comando toc2mp3 accetta appunto file .toc, quindi dobbiamo convertire il file .cue.

Fase 3 - Divisione in tracce
Adesso basterà un bel :
Code:

$ toc2mp3 file.toc

Per ottenere tanti mp3 quante sono le tracce del CD audio.
Da notare che negli mp3 saranno inseriti anche gli ID3Tag, il che non dispiace ;)
Il comando precedente crea degli mp3 con bitrate di 192 kbp/s, ma volendo si può scegliere il bitrate con l'opzione -b.


Magari a molti sembrerà un post stupido, o inutile, e forse lo è, ma magari a qualcuno può servire, come è servito a me ieri, comunque non è niente di particolare, il tutto scoperto con bash-completion, e qualche lettura di pagine man ;)

Ah, sarebbe interessante poter ottenere anche altri tipi di file, ogg ad esempio, però non ho avuto il tempo di cercare.

Visto che ti vuoi rendere utile perchè non fai una ricerca per vedere di creare altri tipi di file (non necessariamente mp3) ;)
...Io sono alle prese con backup, ripartizionamenti, e...una reinstallazione da stage1 di gentoo (noi hacker ci divertiamo con poco :D )

Se vabbè?? Addirittura?...scusate ma ho un mancamento ;)

PS: Comunque preferirei poter scegliere il formato, e SCEGLIERE se usare mp3 o altro, ma ora non posso cercare se c'è (c'è, c'è ;)) qualche altro modo per fare la cosa, ma intanto meglio di niente (Volendo si potrebbero ricodificare gli mp3 in altro...ma come approccio mi fa schifo solo a pensarci)
