|
|
Is there a particular reason that the DGA extension is disabled in the XF86Config file generated by xf86config? For example:
Code: |
Section "Module"
# This loads the DBE extension module.
Load "dbe" # Double buffer extension
# This loads the miscellaneous extensions module, and disables
# initialisation of the XFree86-DGA extension within that module.
SubSection "extmod"
Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension
EndSubSection
# This loads the Type1 and FreeType font modules
Load "type1"
Load "freetype"
# This loads the GLX module
# Load "glx"
EndSection
|
VMWare uses the extension to do full-screen access and complains when it isn't there. _________________ Cheers,

Comment that line, restart X and you should be OK. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

some apps, like X-Chat don't like DGA, and will have border/window trash when it's enabled. |
