Hi, everybody. I'm a newbie to gentoo, having recently installed it on my athlon. I installed from the Gentoo 1.4 RC2 CD with GNOME2.0 without problems. Then I installed the latest version of GVV, witch worked without no problems, integrating itself perfectly on my desktop . I recently upgraded to the GNOME2.2 via the official ebuild that was recently added to the portage tree, and everything was fine. However gvv stopped to work. No matter what I do, it startsup without errors, but when I open a file, it just doesn't show anything. I can see the pages on the left panel but the page shows blank on all the documents (pdf or ps) and gvv doesn't complain about any errors. This documents are perfectly opened with xpdf, and gv, but this programs lack of the GNOME2 support that I like. I've tried to reemerge gvv with the same result. I tried to emerge an older version, with no success. I even reemerged ghostscript but it still doesn't work. I'm quite lost at this point and I don't know what more can I do. Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance.
P.D.: Keep on the good work!! |
