I have a Netra X1 with no video adapter. I need to install Oracle 10 on it, however the install is a GUI one. So, is it possible to install an X server on a machine with no vid card? I would like to install the stuff via SSH with X forwarded to my machine. Is this even possible? help .... |

correct me if ive lost my mind but ...
wasnt one of the original points of X to be able to have one machine as a "server" and another as a "client" .... ?
why not just run the x server on the netra and the client on whatever ? _________________ -Tim Smith |

You can absolutely do this.. But its not going to help you get Oracle running on linux/sparc. |
