kxicq2 doesn't save my settings

everytime i run kxicq, it gives me the initial settings dialog. when it starts, i go into preferences and it's all default settings, so i change the settings. when i click on ok, nothing happens. i go back into preferences, and its all defaults again. tried reemerging, same thing.

im using kde3.1 now, it worked before under kde3.0.4.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
