|
|
I have compiled smbfs support in my kernel as a module and emerged samba. However when I try to mount a share from the network running off of a NT server it says
smbfs can't find module
smbfs unknown file type
and errors out.
Any suggestions? |

Did you make sure to load the module at startup (i.e. make sure it's listed in /etc/modules.autoload)?
Try doing an lsmod and see if it's listed. |

I tried that. At boot when the autoload file loads it says
cant find smbfs module.
I recompiled my kernel twice. The second time I acutally saw smbfs being compiled in. So I am really confused |

If /boot is on its own partition, did you make sure it was mounted before copying the new kernel over? _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
