Any 1 knows a free driver that allows to connect from java application (linux) to mssql server? Maybe other way? Odbc?(this requires driver also!?)

Try the driver on Microsoft's web site. It is "[...] available for download to all licensed SQL Server 2000 customers at no charge." Hope it works for you. I have no idea if there is a driver for previous versions of SQL Server.

Can't use it cuz my MSSQL is ver7 :-( so I found some at
