iptables-Loading modules

I've just installed iptables and some features as kernel's modules. I've setup some rules and everything work just fine but....

When booting all iptables modules are loaded automatically except ipt_state. So i have to insmod it every time i reboot.

I know i could add it to /etc/modules.autoload but i was wondering if there is a .conf file just for iptables where i could load modules, and if someone could tell me why this modules do not load automatically like other ones.
