|
|
Hi I have a problem here, the current emerge rsync did something,
I have a pending new emerge version but can't update it:
Here is the output I get:
emerge -u world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-apps/portage-2.0.46-r11 to /
!!! No message digest file found: /usr/portage/sys-apps/portage/files/digest-portage-2.0.46-r11
!!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate a digest.
Another try
bash-2.05b# merge -u --nodeps portage
bash: merge: command not found
bash-2.05b# emerge -u --nodeps portage
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-apps/portage-2.0.46-r11 to /
!!! No message digest file found: /usr/portage/sys-apps/portage/files/digest-portage-2.0.46-r11
!!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate a digest.
What exactly do I have to do, to resolve this issue? |

!!! Type "ebuild foo.ebuild digest" to generate a digest.
says it right there.
replace foo with portage-2.0.46-r11
not sure if you have to be in the directory to do it..i always go to anyways.
directory would be /usr/portage/sys-apps/portage |

Well... somehow you lost the digest file...
should do the trick... _________________ Lust desires eternity; wants deep, deep eternity!

ebuild <fullpathtofile> digest cleaned everything up and now I just have to wait til everything is mirrored onto the server I connect to for downloading the bz2
Thanks for your fast help |

Werpu wasn't the only one having this problem.
I had exactly the same, and I think the portage package that was on the server was broken. Another emerge sync this morning fixed it. |
