Hi everyone!

I just got gentoo installed and now I'm emerging packages. My only problem is that prozilla is trying to resolv "download.lycos.org" for about 5-10 sec. I supposed that it would perform a ftp-search so I added "/usr/bin/proz --no-search" in my /etc/make.conf but prozilla is keeping on searching.
What shall I do?

Thanks for your help,
Obi

If you just want it to stop doing an ftp search then in your /etc/make.conf take out the "-s" in the FETCHCOMMAND for prozilla. That turns off the search in lycos and the others. But I am not sure why it hangs for ages on my computer waiting for a reply from lycos? oh well...back to wget :)

@/usr/Bananaman

Thank you.:D The -s did it. I have no idea why I haven't searched on this before.
