I can't get my wireless card to work. I have emerged pcmcia-cs as well as linux-wlan-ng. PCMCIA works as I get the two beeps when I insert my card. (high, low). But everytime I emerge linux-wlan-ng it reads
Build Prism2.x PCMCIA Card Services (_cs) driver? (y/n) [n]
I need to get this to read Y in order to compile prism2_cs. How do I do it???

I'm just guessing, as I don't have wireless myself and don't read ebuilds fluently, but could the problem possibly be that you have not set the 'pcmcia' USE flag in /etc/make.conf? |

I don't think those plus signs should be there. If you use a flag, it should just read 'flag', not '+flag' (the minus signs, however should be there for flags you want to exclude). Perhaps the system does not recognise your settings.
...unless developers have added support for that. My primary source of information here is http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/portage-manual.xml. |

An absolute must (methinks) is the utility 'ufed' for editing your USE flags. Just had to post one extra time because I like it so much.
ufed, that is - not posting |
