wow!! finaly with kde 3.1 i managed to install the stupid redhat-artwork (i need to have a look at it... not that i realy need it... but who knows?)
i downloaded the redhat-artwork-0.61-1.src.rpm file directly from the redhat ftp server and copied it to /usr/portage/distfiles, bevore i started to emerge it.
Code: | cp /usr/portage/x11-themes/redhat-artwork/redhat-artwork-0.58.ebuild /usr/portage/x11-themes/redhat-artwork/redhat-artwork-0.61.ebuild
ebuild /usr/portage/x11-themes/redhat-artwork/redhat-artwork-0.61.ebuild digest
export SANDBOX_DISABLED=1
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge redhat-artwork
unset SANDBOX_DISABLED |
Code: | >>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> x11-themes/redhat-artwork-0.61 merged.
>>> Recording x11-themes/redhat-artwork in "world" favorites file...
x11-themes/redhat-artwork
selected: none
protected: 0.61
omitted: none
>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...
>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.
* GNU info directory index is up-to-date. |

ohh.... the gnome version got installed as well. but this was never a problem (with the older versions of redhat-artwork and gnome). but this is actualy the first time that i got the kde part compiled without any problem.

If it just a SANDBOX trouble...why not a fix for ebuild ?? |

I agree, and it would be good to update the portage too, it's still has 0.47 as last stable version
The redhat people is always updating the redhat-artwork package |

I just emerged redhat-artwork-0.62, and I am very please, since it is the first one I have managed to emerge with kde support, jay!
Now, one "problem" remains.
I noticed that under the kde control-center -> appearance & themes, i could change the following things to "bluecurve":
- colors, icons and window decorations
which are all good, unfortunately, i am mostly a gnome user, and i was hoping for a possibility to switch to bluecurve _style_. under style now, there is no bluecurve option listed.
anyone know if bluecurve is supposed to give an option under style too / anyone have managed to compile with support for changing style?

Code: | mv /usr/lib/qt-3.1/plugins/styles/bluecurve.* /usr/kde/3.1/lib/kde3/plugins/styles/
|
and Bluecurve will show up under Style. |
