ok, I had 1.4_rc1 installed and I wanted kde 3.1 so I did:
emerge sync
emerge -u world
fix configs and reboot
emerge kde
I get this error:
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/libstdc++.la'
make[3]: *** [libartskde.la.closure] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.1/work/kdelibs-3.1/arts/kde'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.1/work/kdelibs-3.1/arts'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.1/work/kdelibs-3.1'
make: *** [all] Error 2
!!! ERROR: kde-base/kdelibs-3.1 failed.
!!! Function kde_src_compile, Line 88, Exitcode 2
!!! died running emake, kde_src_compile:make
Anybody recognize this or know what do do to fix it? I did not have any form of kde installed previously. The only things I have installed are system, xfree86, windowmaker, wmakerconf and opera.
Thanks for your time in advance
