|
|
I'm starting to think that emerging xdirectfb screwed up portage and/or my world file:
Code: | $ emerge -up world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating world dependencies -
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "virtual/x11" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "media-libs/libsdl-1.2.5-r1" [ebuild])
|
However:
Code: | $ emerge -p xfree
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] x11-base/xfree-4.2.1-r2
$ ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -p xdirectfb
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] x11-base/xdirectfb-1.0_rc3 |
(both xfree and xdirectfb should satisfy virtual/x11)
How can I correct this? |

I'm not entirely sure what you want to achieve, but I think the file you want to edit is /var/cache/edb/virtuals. Your world file should be OK. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Thanks! Now it works great.
Removed the "x11-base/xdirectfb" from the virtual/x11 entry.
I'm starting to think that a system shouldn't have some unstable packages while being mostly stable. It only brings trouble. |
