Hi guys
I've done a bit of a search but haven't been able to find quite what I'm looking for!
I want to backup my important config files- which ones do I need?
/etc/X11/XF86Config
/etc/fstab
/boot/grub/grub.conf
I've heard I should also backup my world file- where is it kept? I thought it was in /var/cache/edb/world but I don't seem to have one of them! Also, how do I backup my kernel config?
Am I missing anything else obvious?
Thanks

Thanks!
So they've moved the world file?
I suppose I should also back up my make.conf too?
Cheers

I do my whole /etc dir. There's always some silly file that I changed a single line that I'll forget. Even on my email server where there are tons of config files a Code: | tar cjpf ~/etc.tbz2 /etc/ | only makes a 606K file. _________________ Gentoo systems.
