Hello,
I had IBM Java SDK installed, but de-emerged it to replace it with the Sun equivalent.
emerging sun-jdk-1.3.1 went fine, but trying to run java at the prompt gives me:
/opt/sun-jdk-1.3.1.06/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any ideas what I have made wrong?
Thanks

On my system, qpkg reports that libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 is owned by net-www/phoenix-bin and sys-libs/lib-compat. I'd try re-emerging lib-compat. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Had the same problem with Sun JDK 1.3.1. Thanks for the lib-compat tip, it saved my day! |
