I've been trying to emerge mplayer, koffice, apache and update gcc but none work. About half of all ebuilds crash with the following line:
Code:
configure: error: someword: invalid package name

I've submitted a bug report to the bugzilla but no suggestions so far offer any help.

Can you post a little bit more information, including what it is you type? Also, what version of portage are you using (emerge -V)? Have you done an emerge sync?

Hi,

This caught my attention in your 'emerge info':

Quote:

ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86"

And I saw:
Quote:

Created "Makefile" in /var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.2.1-r7/work/build using "mh-frag" and "mt-frag"

I just rsync'd my system to make sure, and gcc-3.2.1-r7 is marked as unstable. Did you do the entire install with ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86"?

Hope that helps,
--Kutsuya

Yup, used ~x86 for everything. However, I tracked down the problem (I think) and it seems like it was caused by stupid me running several instances of emerge at the same time :oops:
