|

I bought two sticks of 128 meg sun ram for my ultra 5 the other day. But when I put them in alongside the two 64 meg sticks the system refused to boot. The yellow light on the monitor turns green for a second, then turns off again.
It now does this with the two new sticks in, the two old sticks in, or both sets in at the same time.
Have I completely screwed up this system? The green light on the front turns on, the hard drive spins up, and I can eject the cdrom, but there are no other signs of life.
I need some help here, I don't know what to do :-/ |

I fixed it. Turns out that in the process of putting in the ram I somehow killed the nic I had in one of the expansion pci slots. I pulled it, and everything runs just fine. It even sees the new memory |
