Where can I set systemwide aliases for all users?
it is kind of annoying that gentoo does not use color if you type the ls command...
and it is annoying to reset aliases for it everytime too... |

I don't know what context you are using your box for, but it's considered a major security hole running aliases on your root account. It make's it very easy for someone to run arbitrary code whenever root logs on and redefine commands. _________________ #! /usr/bin/perl

oh that is ok it is just my homelan where all people are trusted because when they mess something up I am able to hit them with something big and heavy
And they know my root password anyway, at least if they can remember it...
But it is nice to know about that securityhole |
