Hi...
I have quite a problem. The gdm won't start (and I cannot start Gnome from kdm) either... I had a problem with smooth fonts in Gnome and therefore tried following an advice from some other guys about deleting /etc/fonts/fonts.conf, but this resultet, that gdm won't start
I've therefore tried to remake then fonts.conf (checked before deleting and seemed to be empty). But this doesn't help - Know I'm in doubt if I had the correct rights viewing the file, and therefore maybe saw nothing of the contents!!!
I'm really in deep shit!
I've deletede the /etc/fonts completely and tried re-emerging the freetype and xft libraries, but this kinda doesn't work!
Any suggestions?
