Hi,
since i am used to a gui, each time i accidentaly hit ctrl+s (instead of ctrl+o) in nano, it freezes up completely. I have no clue why or how to get out of the freez other than closing the terminal window. It is really frustrating cause all the work is gone.
Please help me ! Thanks in advance.

Well, stop hitting that then
Okay, for more usefully advice....
Try hitting ctrl+q when you do that. The ctrl+s seems to turn on scroll lock. And hitting ctrl+q turns it off again.
Yay! I never knew this until I tried to help you... now I can finally pause the display in Eterm windows.... Yay!!! |

BTW, this isn't just nano... It seems these keystrokes work in terminal windows and on virtual terminals no matter what you are doing... Yay! |
