WinTV

I have an older WinTV pci card and for the most part it works great with XawTV (better than it ever did in windows)

But some times when I first turn on my computer it doesn't seem to be sending any data to XawTV... It's just some fuzz at the top of the window... With the software I use in windows, if it ever does that I just have to try to change the channel and then it works.. But in linux I have to restart my computer.

It only does it when my computer has been off for a while and a quick restart always makes it work...

How can I make it work without restarting? I'm getting tired of finding out it doesn't work when my computer is in the middle of a long build process and I wanted to watch TV...
