I've got vmware installed and xfree compiled with the dga extentions so it will run fullscreen. For some reason beyond my understanding, after running vmware in fullscreen mode the kde screensaver will not kick in, and the the monitor will not go into standby.
are there some options to enable to get around this? |

Hmm, offhand I don't have an answer as to why exactly it behaves that way but what I would try is to fire up kcontrol and set the default screensaver to "Blank screen" and see what happens. Alternatively, you can also emerge xscreensaver (many very nice screensavers in that package) and run that iso the kde screensaver. |
