wenn ich ein perl based programm starten m[chte (vi  dann kommt das:
vi: error while loading shared libraries: libperl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
kommt bei JEDEM dieser progs!
wenn ich dann was emergen möcht kommt:

ja doof, also schaut aus als löppt der c compiler nimmer... nur was tun ohne c compiler?
weiss einer rat??
gut, also das mit dem perl habsch mit ner geschickten PERL version gelöst
aber bei nem gcc file1.c file kommt:
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec ´as': no such file or directory

Hi,
Weiß nicht obs nicht eine bessere Lösung gibt. Einfach mit der Install-CD booten, die Root-Partition z.B. nach /mnt/gentoo mounten. In das Verzeichnis wechseln und das stage3 Archiv entpacken. Anschließend chroot /mnt/gentoo & ein env-update + emerge -e system.

Hi,
Die Konfigurationsdateien würde ich vorher sichern.
Beim Stage3 wird ja "nur" dein Basisystem überschrieben. Gnome, KDE, und alle anderen Apps werden ja nicht angerührt. Deswegen ja auch zum Schluß das emerge -e system um noch einmal dein Bassisystem mit deinen Einstellungen/Optimierungen neu zu erstellen.
Wie schon gesagt ... Quick & Dirty.

NACHTRAG
Ein wenig aufwendiger, aber technisch eleganter wäre sicherlich auf einer frei(zumachenden) Partition ein Gentoo-Basissystem aufzusetzen und den gcc bzw. alle weiteren "zerschossen" Pakete mit emerge -b gcc ... zu übersetzen und anschließend das bereits fertig kompilierte Paket auf deinem "alten" System mit emerge -k gcc ... einzuspielen. Analog bei weiteren evtl. notwendigen Paketen.
Auf den Gentoo-Mirrors gabs mal vorkompilierte Pakete zum Download. Vielleicht liegts ja am Glas Bier, aber den Ordner "packages" find ich gerade nicht (gibts nicht mehr ?).
